Quick get ready your ruler and pencil.
The line must be drawn NOW before things spiral out of control. If that happens, it won’t be of use even if you used a permanent marker to draw that line. Get it sorted out first and then move on. No point pretending that it doesn’t exist.
Ignoring it would only serve to slow you down. Why? Because your brain cannot rest when it’s supposed to. And you end with a brain that sorely needs a break. Now that doesn’t work to your advantage does it??
