Something that warrantsa second post within the same day surely hints that this is very important…or that something(S) super exciting and interesting took place today and i’m bursting to share!!  :)

• I received a PRIVATE AND CONFIDENTIAL letter from the government today informing me that i’m eligible to receive a comprehensive GST Offset package in Budget 2007 and share part of the government’s surplus through Growth Dividends. Now i’m like officially part of the nation!! And they are giving me money to mark my 21st year on planet earth. Almost like an initiation into the adult world!!! How exciting!! :)
• The geography department is NUS is really happening. Two of the University Award winners are from the Geog dept this year!! (http://www.nus.edu.sg/uawards/2008/win4.htm) 5th from the left and 4th from the right). What’s even more exciting is that i’m taking both of their modules this sem!! It’s a really prestigious award and to have 2 awardees from the same department speaks volumes of the department AND their students :)  

• I got back my presentation grade of that ‘eventful’ project today. My conclusion: if you’re doing a geog module, it serves you well to listen to geog majors. Especially so when there are 4 of them in a group of 7. The same goes for any other module in any other department or faculty; listen to their students. They are MAJORS in that subject for goodness sake. To be blunt: don’t act smart.
• Another thing i learnt today…there are many people wearing masks in the world. One day they are screaming, being difficult and stopping short of hurling insults, the next day, they are distibuting hugs, kisses, love and all that jazz. What do i make of it? Nothing really, i can’t be bothered. Do what you want! :) Really NIMB (not in my backyard).
• Exams are looming. I’m gearing up for hibernation.
