Happy Holiday-ing :)
Dear Self,
Holiday-ing is one of your favouritest hobby. :)
But it’s a hobby subject to the seasons of life.
Waking up in the mornings (almost afternoon really) with the whole day ahead of you…knowing that you’ve nothing much to do. No deadlines to meet, no tasks to complete, no chores to do..that kinda thing. Basically, being unproductive (according to society – how marxist right?!).
But remember some wise man (bertrand russell?) said that “THE TIME YOU ENJOYED WASTING IS NOT WASTED TIME”
And that’s just fantastic. For how often is it that you get to laze in bed/read all the books there are/watch all the movies that you want to/spend as much time sitting by the window watching the world go by/spend all the time you have -at least while the fingers can-learning new songs on the guitar etc without feeling a tinge of guilt?
That my friend, is hard to come by. So enjoy it while you can.
Also, there’s the star-gazing trip in bintan next week to look forward to!!
All the reasons to smile. Who said happy holidays are reserved for Christmas?? It’s happy holidays NOW! :)
